CNG Vehicles

The recent petrol price hike has led many car drivers to stop driving their cars and switch to public transports and riding bicycles to go places.

There are many ways to save fuel and money in the same time, and one of them is by driving a CNG vehicles. There were 9 CNG vehicle models available to the general masses from car manufacturer like GM, Ford and Honda. But due to the lack of interests towards CNG back then, both Ford and GM has since ceased operation.

Honda Civic GX is one of the few that stand strong and still being manufactured today. Like any other CNG vehicles, it creates very little combustion and environmentally friendly. It is estimated that more than 7 million CNG vehicles worldwide and 150,000 of them are located in the USA.

There are many incentives being offered as a way to encourage consumers to get more of these vehicles. A great example being, owning one of these CNG vehicles will qualify the owner to get a $4,000 federal tax deduction.

There are some downsides to CNG vehicles though. While it's true that the fuel price is cheaper and is environmentally friendly, the car can only run half the mileage that gasoline-based vehicles are using. And the fact that there's not many CNG stations around make it almost impossible to be domestic.

And some of the more commonly seen CNG vehicles include fleets of heavy commercial vehicles like public buses and trucks. This is a good way to combat the lack of CNG stations availability.
